Description
911R/ 911 ST intake manifolds measuring 46 mm (on the carburettor) and 41 mm (on the cylinder head).First used in the 906, these intake manifolds were then also factory installed in the 911R.But all 911 STs that were intended for rally use were also equipped with these intake manifolds. The main advantage of these intake manifolds is the increased length, which has given the engines a significant increase in torque. In addition, the increased height also enabled the inflow angle from the carburettor into the outer two cylinder heads of each cylinder bank to be optimized. This meant that higher flow values could actually be detected on the flow bench.Even if the intake pipes are basically identical in the different versions, the mounting position of the gas linkage bearing varies depending on the engine type, so that the intake pipes differ in this respect. In addition, not every engine is an uncompromising racing engine, but it should still have the authentic appearance of the original racing engine. Therefore, in today’s production, intake manifold cross-sections that are suitable for a sports engine or series engine were also taken into account. These are, for example, all intake pipes whose dimensions are designed for a carburettor of size 40 mm and a channel cross-section at the cylinder head connection of 38 mm.The suction pipes are optically identical in every detail to the original suction pipes that were installed at the factory at the time.
